The SX and ZR hatchbacks, along with Ascent Sport and SX sedans, each see a $350 increase.

Toyota has raised prices for its 2027 Corolla lineup in Australia, with the entry-level Ascent Sport hatchback now costing $33,110 before on-road expenses—a $1,000 increase from last year. The adjustment includes new standard features through the Convenience Pack, which now adds front and rear parking sensors alongside a rear cross-traffic alert. Blind-spot monitoring, already standard on the hatchback, remains part of the base configuration.

The price hikes apply across multiple models. The SX and ZR hatchbacks, along with Ascent Sport and SX sedans, each see a $350 increase. These adjustments come without specification changes, except for sedans gaining wireless Android Auto support to match the hatchback range. The Convenience Package stays optional for the Ascent Sport sedan, offering blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alerts but excluding parking sensors, which Toyota no longer offers on any Corolla sedan in Australia.

Toyota has also refreshed the color palette for the Corolla. Saturn Blue, previously limited to sedans, is now available across all hatchback grades, replacing the discontinued Lunar Blue. Meanwhile, Onyx Night replaces Eclipse Black for both body styles. These updates follow last year’s introduction of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster in sedans, while hatchbacks continue to use a 7.0-inch display in the Ascent Sport and SX trims.

  • Ascent Sport hybrid sedan: $32,935 (up $350)
  • Ascent Sport hybrid hatchback: $33,110 (up $1,000)
  • SX hybrid sedan: $35,535 (up $350)
  • SX hybrid hatchback: $35,610 (up $350)
  • ZR hybrid hatchback: $39,450 (up $350)

The company’s decision to standardize certain safety aids, such as parking sensors, on the hatchback while keeping them optional on sedans highlights its strategy of tiered differentiation across models.
