Geaux Moto’s latest project puts a Ford EcoBoost engine into a Mazda ND chassis.
Based in Louisiana, the shop sells a 2.3-liter turbo swap kit that replaces the original four-cylinder with the same inline-four found in the Mustang and the final-generation Focus RS. The kit includes a larger twin-scroll Garrett turbo and dual wastegates.
On the dyno the setup produced 460 horsepower and 393 lb-ft of torque, while Geaux Moto’s demo car recorded 450 hp at the wheels. For everyday driving the factory tune is dialed back to 321 hp and 378 lb-ft.

Given the power increase, the swap relies on a Mustang MT-82 six-speed manual. Installing the transmission means removing part of the cowl and relocating accessories, then replacing the factory Power Plant Frame with a custom ladder that bolts the gearbox to the rear differential. An OS Giken limited-slip unit sits in the stock differential housing.
The aero package, engineered by Varis, features an in-house carbon-fiber front splitter and a massive rear wing. Together they generate the downforce figure quoted above, helping the lightweight roadster stay planted despite the near-double power output of a stock ND.
Cooling is handled by a larger radiator, an upgraded intercooler and two auxiliary radiators tucked into the factory fog-light housings. The oil pan comes from a Focus RS and includes added baffling to prevent starvation under hard acceleration.
Inside, the car keeps stock air conditioning and most original trim, but adds Sparco seats and a custom roll bar that fits beneath the DG hardtop. The result is a well-sorted build that showcases how far the ND platform can be pushed.
